About Us
AWCAA focuses on improving knowledge and increasing awareness about cancer across the African community.
The African Women’s Cancer Awareness Association (AWCAA), was established in 2004 as a non-profit organization dedicated to improve health care delivery and services to African women with cancer through education, resources, and training. We focus on improving overall women’s health by involving every institution that serves African women such as hospitals, clinics, schools, and other health care organizations.
AWCAA works to reduce the burden of cancer on African immigrant women and their families in the US and abroad. We provide equal access to programs and services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and medical support to various African countries.
