Chuka Agugua, MBA
Chuka Agugua is a business development manager for Sprint Corporation. As the National Relationship Manager for Sprint’s Assurance Wireless brand, he serves as the channel lead for partnerships within the healthcare industry responsible for product enhancement, strategy, compliance, partner management and acquisition. Through his tenure, he’s worked with several health plans and spoken at key industry conferences educating professionals about the benefits of mobile communications and the impact it can have on quality and outreach initiatives.
Prior to Sprint, Chuka has worked at Verizon, Cogent and overall has 12 years’ experience in IT and telecommunications serving in sales, marketing and consulting roles. In 2004, he co-founded a healthcare startup that focused on transitioning doctors’ offices and clinics to digital technologies such as EMR’s and personal health records. He began his career as a software engineer for SAIC in 2001. Chuka holds a degree in Computer Science from Morehouse College and a MBA in International Business from University of South Florida. He currently serves on the board of the African Women’s Cancer Awareness Association (AWCAA) which helps raise funds to educate and treat women regarding cancer in the Washington DC area and Africa. In his spare time he loves to watch and play sports, eat, cook, and travel.
