We work with a community of women who are breast cancer patients or are breast cancer survivors. Over the past 7 months we have identified various needs that the women we serve have and we have been making efforts to meet them.
As part of our activities to support early detection of breast cancer and survivors coping during COVID-19, we organized a fundraising webinar to discuss, “Your Girls Need You: Understanding Your Risk for Breast Cancer”.
We appreciate our amazing resources persons, Dr. Cedrek McFadden (surgeon, speaker, writer, and mentor), Dr. Kelechi (Founder and CEO of EPICC, LLC, and creator of Success Coaching Academy), Dr. Lori L. Wilson (Cancer surgeon and researcher) and Maureen Umeh (Multiple award winning television news journalist for Fox 5 News in Washington, D.C.) who contributed to making the event a huge success. We were able to raise $5000 for the evening, and we look forward to positively impacting the lives of the women we serve.
